Uniform Regulations
We steadfastly affirm that the hallmarks of a thriving school rest upon two pivotal elements:

Whether justified or not, the perception of our school will inevitably hinge on the demeanor and presentation of our students, both within the school premises and throughout our community.
Equally paramount is our school branding. Whether it’s our dedicated staff, engaged parents, or enthusiastic pupils, our insignias, school colors, and other distinctive elements should not merely exist, but should take center stage, worn proudly when appropriate.

Hair – Grade R upwards (Compulsory)
Boys
- Short school boys haircut with the right proportion between side and top length.
- No eccentric hairstyles may be worn e.g. stepped haircuts, hair dyes, upswept centers, patterns etc.
- No moustaches or beards or attempts at these are permitted.
Girls
If hair touches the collar, it must be tied back.
- Hair must be worn in a ponytail or plaits and neatly clipped back.
- All hair accessories e.g. alice bands, hairbands, hairclips etc. must be Navy Blue in colour.
- No hair colouring, bleaching, highlights, or colourful braids are permitted.
- No hair gel, no perms or any eccentric hairstyles are permitted.
- No make-up of any type may be worn to school, school functions or sporting fixtures.
- Nail length to be “short” and clear varnish on either fingernails or toenails may be worn.
Jewellery – Boys and Girls – Grade R Upwards (Compulsory)
The wearing of other items such as rings, earrings, chains, anklechains, bangles, chains or necklaces etc. that are not part of the official school uniform are not permitted. The only exceptions are Medic Alert bracelets and a crucifix which may be worn around the neck on a chain but beneath the shirt or dress. The plain red “string” worn by Hindus is permitted without adornments.
No body art or body piercing (with their accompanying accoutrements) of any kind are permitted other than as mentioned above.
Writing on arms or legs will be treated as body art and followed up accordingly.
Girls only:
While ear piercing is not encouraged should a girl have her ears pierced she may only wear gold studs or sleepers.
No hoop earrings may be worn.
These are issues of personal pride and deportment and pupils should not wait to be reprimanded by staff.
All uniform can be purchased from the uniform shop on premises.
