Sport is a way of life in southern Africa, and sport plays a role in the daily life of the pupils at Waterberg Academy. It is used not only to assist in the overall development of the brain, but facilitates the opportunity to work in a team and develop sporting skills that may be used for life. Added to this, the old adage that a healthy body is part and parcel of a healthy mind, is relevant.
As a school, we provide opportunities for the maximum number of pupils to participate in as many different sports as possible. The physical and the educational benefits, which flow from a well-organised programme of sport, are immeasurable. Social and emotional needs are met and long-term positive attitudes are formed through satisfying and successful participation in sport.
The sports offered are listed as follows:
|TERM 1||TERM 2||TERM 3||TERM 4|
